In 2018, Lara Gressley ran for Riverside County District Attorney, as a criminal justice reform candidate. Lara's election platform called for ending unethical prosecutorial practices, supporting bail reform to end pretrial incarceration and reduce jail overcrowding, and ending nonsensical mass incarceration in Riverside County. Lara fell a bit short in the election, but was honored to collect the support from nearly 100,000 voters in Riverside County who agreed with her criminal justice reform platform.

Don and his team recently won a DUI prescription drugs case for the former elected Riverside County District Attorney's wife. The jury returned their Not Guilty verdict after 40 minutes of deliberation.
