Felony Riverside DUI, Felony Hit & Run Dismissed

Posted by Mike Donaldson | Mar 29, 2018 | 0 Comments

Riverside DUI Attorney

Recently, DUI attorney Mike Donaldson had a felony DUI, felony Hit & Run, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance case dismissed. The case was dismissed because the government violated the client's speedy trial rights. All defendants have a right to a speedy trial. If the government fails to prosecute a crime speedily, there is a constitutional remedy - dismissal. In this particular case, the court found that it lacked jurisdiction to hear the case as the government did not prosecute it in accordance with our client's speedy trial rights. The case was dismissed.
